PodMng Driver Operating Modes

The PodMng software operating status can be seen within the task bar icon that appears on the bottom right hand side of the task bar once the software is activated.

In order to pass the correct data to the NetPod OPC server the network upon which the instruments are deployed has be scanned and all instruments identified. This action is carried out by selecting

Configure ® Scan Network

from the Main PodMng Window.

No Data Acquisition Operations

Data Acquisition Operations Active

Important Note

The OPC server can only pass information when the Podmng software is in Run mode.

Once the data acquisition operations is activated data to the OPC Server will start automatically.

5) Start the NetPod OPC Server

Activate the NetOPC3.exe software using the mouse pointer just like any other Windows applications software

The NetPod OPC Server task bar icon will appear adjacent to the Podmng task bar icon.

The OPC server is now receiving data that can be analysed using third party software such as SCADA applications

Once the instruments on the network have been identified then the software can be placed into run mode and data will be acquired and passed to the NetPod OPC server.

Starting Data Acquisition Operations

To start data acquisition operations:

Configure ® Run

Upon initialising run-mode the task bar icon will change colour. When the task bar icon is green the data acquisition operations are under way. The task bar icon red no data acquisition operations
