Temperature Logging

Overview of Instruments & Software

In 1996 recognising industry requirements for high speed, multi-user, high channel systems to measure temperature at a reasonable price. Keynes Controls developed the NP4000 series of instruments which offer the highest flexibility, sample rates resolution for any distributed monitoring system on the market. Using the wide range of supported applications packages the NP4000 instruments can be seamlessly integrated into most third party applications.

Introduction

The ThermPOD range of temperature monitoring instruments is a market leader in the area of multi-channel, multi-user high speed temperature monitoring systems. With unlimited number of channels, instruments that can be supplied with 1 to 16 inputs and multi-sample rate operations, you have the ultimate in flexibility. There is no limit on how you can mix the sensor interfaces. No other product on the market today can match the ThermPOD in both speed, expandability and flexibility. Fully integrated into SCADA, HMI and data acquisition packages. The ThermPod range of temperature instruments provides the low cost per channel of any high performance distributed system on the market today.

High Resolution ThermPOD

The high resolution ThermPOD instrument utilises 24 Bit converters to provide high resolution measurements. All of the sensor input boards contain opto-isolation and sample rate following anti-alias filters as standard ensuring that the highest reliability readings undertaken at all times. The Opto-isolation protects the instruments from accidental contact to with high voltage sources. Continuous sample rates up to 2KHz/Channel are available with this instrument. For large scale operations low cost solid state multiplexers can be used to expand the channel count. The multiplexers provide a very cost effective way for monitoring large scale applications. SOFTWARE

  • Support for DASYLab, LabView, DIADem, HP-VEE analysis packages
  • .
  • OPC (OLE For Process Control) Server (Standards 1 & 2)

  • SCADA Support forWonderware's Intouch, Intellution iFIX, NemaSoft Paragon, Taylor Software PC-Control and many more.

  • Windows 32 Bit Operating Systems Support.

  • Software Developers Tool Kit. Visual Basic, C/C++ Delphi.

Slow Speed ThermPOD

The slow speed ThermPOD instrument utilises 16 Bit analogue converters to monitor temperature. 16 Bit resolution is the lowest resolution and slowest speed converters used within the NP4000 instrumentation. The slow speed instrument is the lowest cost unit available and is fully compatible with all software packages. Sample rates to 60 Hz/Channel are available. Full isolation and sample rate following filters are supplied as standard. Thermocouple Types B E J K N R S

Multiplexer Units

A range of multiplexer units are available to provide low cost high channel count systems. The multiplexer cards directly connect to individual channels within ThermPOD instrument. Full support for all types of thermocouple are supported. The multiplexer cards contain channel status LED indicators. You can tell at a quick glance, for slow sample rates which channels are being monitored. The multiplexer cards are compatible for high resolution and slow speed operations.
