Tide Monitoring System

Introduction

The following information is being provided in real time by the Keynes Controls NDACS6000 based tide level recording system
using simulated tide and wave signals. The NDACS 6000 Tide Monitoring System utilises two independent data recorders operating independently to examine and report tide level information and wave profiles. E-mail alarming facilities are available within the instrument to identify and report abnormal events automatically upon detection.

The instrumentation fully supports remote Internet connectivity via a radio modem, Wireless Ethernet, GSM/GPRS data links and by the use of a standard dial-up modem.

The Tide Monitor is fully configured using its on-board web site from any internet compible browser. All user features can be examined and updated remotely and the same User Interface is provided no matter what type of network connection is made to the instrumentation.

Real Time Data

To examine the data in real time simply select the web page and press the refress button (e.g. F5 MSIE)

The real time plots will update upon refreshing the screen to indicate new data.

Results Presentation

Any statistical results can be added to the results screen such as maximum and mininum wave height, time of occurance, date from 24 hours real time plot. The examples below are for demonstration purposes only.

Data Access

The results presented below can also be plotted into a restricted access web page allowing only users with the correct access to observe the raw information. The data files from the instrument can be forwarded automatically to specified users of downloaded remotely upon request. Data downloads can be undertaken without any special software using the Industry standard FTP software.
