Intelligent Sensors - Licence Restriction
All of the Keynes Controls intelligent remote sensors are licence protected and operate over a fixed time duration only until the licence expires. The default time period for operation of these types of sensors is 60 days and in this time period any number of reading can be
made and downloaded.
The licence is only applied to a sensor depending upon condition of sale or for demonstration purposes only. Like all other Keynes products the licence number is based upon the serial number of the instrument and the desired duration of operation. It is not possible to apply a licence number supplied for an instrument into a second unit and for that unit to operate.
Should the licence run out then a sensor still records data but it is no longer accessible to the User. A single reading per day showing the instantaneous level is all that can be viewed and this has been allowed in order to confirm that the sensor is still operating. Once the licence has been updated the recorded information can be downloaded.

Licence number = Hexadecimal 8 digit code ######## typically similar to c2f78f2309
all digits have to be entered.

In order to access the licence information a sensor must be connected to the interface header unit as shown above.
The licence information is shown on the main configuration screen. A typical licence information display is shown opposite.
Viewing Licence Information
Upon activating the sensor interface software the main configuration screen displays the sensor management information.
As part of this display the licence details are shown and controls are provided to update the parameters.
Updating the Licence
The Licence field is where new information is entered into the instrument and is activated by selecting the Licence button.
Unlimited Operations
When a sensor is set to operate indefinitely the licence limit field is shown as “Unlimited”
